Shared Corporate Services

Shared Services has recently moved into a group shared services model, with a plan to establish centres of excellence that will ultimately be shared across North Central London NHS partners. The design principles for the consolidated services are to:

a. Deliver higher quality services designed around user experience

b. Exploit technology for innovation

c. Extend the services into our ICS partners across primary, secondary, social care

We’ve recently invested in new technology such as RPA and AI to provide the better, more efficient and customer-focused support services to our staff, partners and suppliers and have taken a lead on sharing these among the wider NHS. Our recruitment service won the 2019 HPMA award for innovation, was nominated for many others, and is widely showcased for automation with ‘Stu the recruitment robot’.

As a team, we focus on using quality improvement (QI) methodology as a way of reducing waste (wasted resource, wasted effort) across the service to allow us to concentrate our energies on the things that matter and adding value to the organisation.

Our vision is to deliver ‘Excellent patient care through an outstanding employee experience.’

Services that currently are supported include:

  • Recruitment Services (including general, nursing and medical recruitment)

  • Payroll and pension services

  • Processes and systems
